Near the medieval village called Castagna, joint Fiuminata, now abandoned and covered entirely of vegetation, over a hill to mt.500 sm, stood an old house with several buildings rural outbuildings, also abandoned by the'50s of the last century and reduced to a few ruins.

Here, beginning from 1983, as a result of intense activities of recovery and restoration lasted many years, the agriturism "La Castagna" has been realized and today is equipped of numerous facilities for the tourist acceptance of fans tourist of the atmosphere, the typical kitchen, the hiking, culture and, more generally of a healthy life outdoors.

The central body of 'farm is formed, as well as from housing employers, 10 rooms, a typical local restaurant agritourism, parking, a great swimming pool dipped in a splendid green lawn.

Upstream of the main structure the company owns a forest of many hectares of extension started high stalk, in which arise other ancient buildings rural areas, among which, on top of the hill, the ruins of an ancient medieval fortress.

The first of these buildings, known as "Domus Hortentia" fully restored in 2006, is now able to accommodate families or small groups (max 6 beds) wishing to manage the vacancy in complete autonomy, but with every comfort.

The other buildings, including the fort, are awaiting restoration and, in the coming years, also will expand the tourist offer of "La Castagna."
